a sugary tradition

Every year C. and K. and I build a gingerbread house. Every year the entire structure falls down at one point. Every year my mom buys a ton of candy (it's the only time she'll buy candy at all). Ever year we don't even start the decorating process until about midnight. And every year we have so much fun we can't wait to do it again the next year. It's one of the greatest traditions ever. This year we made trees out of pretzels and green apple rings. And let me tell you those trees did not want to stay standing up! By the time we finished I was pretty dang tired which is why the frosting is all over the place. . . and the final product is a little more. . . messy than usual :)
